The 2025 IRS return must be filed by 30 June 2026. Around this period, many clients are still filing, waiting for validation or waiting for tax assessment documents to become available in Portal das Finanças.
Documents to separate before requesting
The Modelo 3 shows declared income. The Nota de Liquidação shows the tax calculation after processing. The Certidão de Liquidação is formal proof of an assessment and may be required by a third party.

Before asking the client again, confirm the tax year, the exact document requested by the bank and whether the assessment has already been issued.
