Declaration of inheritances and gifts

You inherited assets and prepare to notify Finanças.

Stamp Duty Form 1 for reporting gratuitous transfers, including inheritances and gifts. Includes the main form, instructions and annexes: I-01 to I-06 for property, rights, movable assets, claims, holdings, securities and charges; II-01 for heirs and II-02 for legatees, donees or acquirers by adverse possession, completed with assistance from the tax office; III for additional beneficiaries when there are more than four. Selection depends on the assets and beneficiaries. Death-related declarations can be submitted through Portal das Finanças, e-balcão or in person by appointment. The service does not calculate tax or submit the declaration; older instructions do not establish current rates or reliefs.
