What it is
Declaração de Situação de Desemprego — RP 5044. Lets an employer declare the date and reason an employment contract ended for unemployment benefit purposes. It identifies the employer and employee. You receive a blank RP 5044. The declaration is normally issued by the employer; if the employer cannot or refuses to issue it, the Portuguese Authority for Working Conditions (ACT) can issue it. It is neither proof of IEFP registration nor a benefit award decision.
