Many clients know the credit responsibilities map, but do not know that Banco de Portugal also provides the mapa da Base de Dados de Contas. For credit and property professionals, the distinction matters: one document shows credit responsibilities, while the other helps identify accounts and banking relationships reported by participating entities.
What the map shows
The map may include deposit, payment, credit and financial instrument accounts, as well as holders, representatives and authorized users. It does not show account balances, so it should not be confused with a bank statement.
When it can be useful
It can help when the client does not know where they still have accounts, when there are doubts about authorized users or when a credit process needs a clearer view of banking relationships.
